Floral Midi Dress Outfit Post

Out of the mountain of clothing I own in my wardrobe, it’s safe to say that this floral skirt is one of my most favourite pieces to style. It’s always been to the rescue piece during one of my “Oh sh*t, I’ve got nothing to wear!” moments. Not only that, it’s got to be the one piece that’s generated the most compliments from friends and strangers alike, so it’s easy to see why I recycle this piece so often.

But I guess the thing that always brings me back to this skirt is the fact that I get to feel like I’m channeling Olivia Palermo’s signature feminine style- minus the designer label and hefty price tag of course.

Olivia is definitely one of my top style crushes; she legitimately has the smart and sophisticated look down to a T. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that she has the face and body to compliment her distinctly polished style.

Taking some cues from the girl that can do no wrong, this skirt made it into my wardrobe purely because I wanted to do Olivia P twirls.

Though, to be completely honest, I don’t just buy things for the sake of it. OK maybe sometimes, but I mostly try to sensibly justify a purchase; this usually comes down to considering wearability, price and asking myself if I really need more clothes.

Well the answer is obvious; of course I need more clothes (case in point).

So my excuse for parading this skirt like it’s going out of style? It’s not, because Olivia Palermo rocks it too.

This skirt is gorgeous! I think I’m going to have to try this look myself. What is the sizing like on the skirt? x

    • Thanks Lisa! I found it to be pretty true to size, and it sits on my waist quite comfortably. The material isn’t stretchy though, so there isn’t any give when I eat too much haha. I’m also pretty small (5’2″) and it wasn’t too long on me either. I hope that helps! x A
