Just like that, another month has come and gone. After a whirlwind of intense life trials and tribulations, I’m so glad that May is finally in the past. I can’t even begin to express how many lemons life threw my way in the month alone, but now that June has rolled in, I’m welcoming it with a brighter and clearer outlook – June please be good to me!

But on a lighter note, now that it’s officially winter, I might have to take in account what I wear on a daily basis more thoroughly. Now I know that this outfit isn’t quite appropriate for Melbourne’s bone chilling winter but in the midst of missed laundry days and having half my wardrobe housed at home, while the other lives at the misters, coordinating outfits is just too much.

To be honest though, this slapped together outfit is actually more cohesive than I expected – it really only goes to show that styling abilities improve ten fold when you’re limited to a handful of clean clothes. This forgotten skirt $20 skirt from Singapore literally became my life saver. It definitely channels a sophistication factor despite its measly price tag.

But whilst I completely fluked this outfit by chance, I think it’s time to get more organised and find some more winter appropriate clothes to rug up in – because any excuse to shop is a good enough excuse (amirite?). Just don’t be surprised if you see me wrapped in a blanket in the next post. But then again, it is summer in New York and guess who’s headed there next month? *wink*
