If there’s one thing I love about Melbourne, it’s the city’s inherit ability to allow its locals to dress for given season, depending on its mood for the day. This past summer has been exemplary of Melbourne’s mad skill at being insanely bipolar. Although the holiday season delivered enough sunshine to let catch some much needed rays, my winter gear saw some heavy rotation in the midst of sunny days.
Personally not a heavy fan of skimpy summer wear, I’d much prefer easy to wear clothing that doesn’t require me to spend 2 hours showering and applying lotion to make sure every inch of my skin is in full glow. This step is absolutely necessary when wearing a short skirt and shorts, because apparently if your skin isn’t close to
flawless hairless, it’s socially frowned upon.
I think my boy knows that I fail at being a girl most days – no judgment though, it’s a hard life. This is probably the sole reason I gravitate towards key pieces that I can easily throw on or put minimal effort into.
Perfect for lazy Sunday brunch dates, running weekend shopping trips or kicking back at the annual Australia Day barbeque, this denim jacket and waterfall top combo is so easy that no mental debate about if it will match this or that is required. Having already achieved 2/3 of the mentioned events, this outfit is now only pending an appearance at that possible bbq. Happy Australia Day!
